Who is American Canning?
American Canning is a team of energetic individuals with a shared passion for the craft beverage industry. We are based in Austin, TX but take pride in providing aluminum can packaging solutions to beverage producers worldwide through our mobile canning services, canning machine equipment, packaging supply distribution efforts, and unparalleled customer service. In 2022, we are looking to add a Quality Control Inspector to our Machine Equipment Manufacturing team.
What is the job?
The Quality Control (QC) Inspector responsible for evaluating components, assemblies, and raw materials to verify that they meet engineering specifications. By following established inspection criteria, the QC Inspector identifies non-conforming items so they can be replaced or corrected before advancing through the production process. This ensures smooth assembly production and optimal product performance. Additionally, the QC Inspector is expected to help identify repeating issues with components, processes, vendors, and assemblies so they can be addressed and resolved by the appropriate team.
A successful candidate will…
· Have experience in metrology and dimensional inspection
· Know how to interpret mechanical drawings and engineering specifications
· Maintain focus with similar and repeating tasks
What will you do?
· Dimensional, visual, and functional inspection of production components, materials and assemblies.
· Interpret mechanical drawings to identify engineering specifications
· Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify specifications
· Data entry into inventory tracking systems.

What is required?
· 2-3 years’ experience in a similarly technical role
· Extensive experience with precision measuring instruments
· Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, strong general computer skills
· Experience with NetSuite a plus
· Play the position and support the team with a positive attitude
