What is the job?
Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Associate Buyer is responsible for entering, reviewing, and overseeing all purchasing for sellable and consumable goods. Additionally, the Associate Buyer will be focused on all vendor communications and will be expected to relay updates to the appropriate parties within the organization.

Have outstanding personal organization skills – you have excellent organizational skills and have the ability to flip between different platforms and communication tools.
Be a critical thinking superstar – this role often requires being able to look ‘outside of the box’ to find quick but sustainable solutions to our everchanging industry.
What will you do?
- Enter and oversee purchasing for all sellable goods, including entering purchase orders in our internal ERP, as well as vendor facing platforms.
- Follow-up on order confirmations and update appropriate parties (cancelling, updating, or closing as needed)
- Issue vendor returns based on quality concerns, as needed
- Enter and oversee purchasing for all consumable goods
- Actively communicate with multiple operations departments around department specific needs
- Day-to-day vendor communications including requesting and reviewing order confirmations, and following up on any discrepancies (lead times, pricing, storage)
- Update appropriate departments using internal communication such as Teams, Monday.com, and NetSuite; ensuring changes in lead times, delivery dates, inbound shipments, and changes in order quantities are known
- Basic cost analysis on a quarterly basis, communicating any changes to appropriate departments for decision making

What is required?
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- High school education or above
